We know it’s tempting to try Happy Hoodie out the second it arrives! Putting it on during a completely calm moment may leave your pet wondering why they’re wearing something new. Like any calming aid, you won't know how effective it is until it's used when your pet is in need of anxiety relief.
When Happy Hoodie is introduced with a purpose, it can help your pet make a positive connection between wearing it and feeling more comfortable. For the best experience, introduce it when your pet can actually benefit from the added comfort—such as during grooming, force drying, a storm, or another stressful or noisy situation.
Tip: If your pet is unsure, use treats, praise, or other positive reinforcement when introducing Happy Hoodie.
Adjust the width of the band if needed by folding over excess material to best fit the pet properly
Pull the Happy Hoodie back over the head and ears to secure the ears in place (ear canals covered)
Fold the ears down, placing the ears against the pets head to cover the ear canal
Fully stretch the Happy Hoodie out and pull over the head and onto the pet's neck.
